Difficulty with making GF bread in a machine?

Recently, my husband has been attempting to make gluten free bread for us, and in our bread machine....doesn't really work following a recipe. It all gets stuck together and you get lumps of flour, or just fluid at the bottom and a crust top that literally is all you can eat.....We have found that mixing the bread into a dough first (and it won't go into a normal style dough...it will be more the consistency of cake batter)  has really helped when putting it back into a bread machine - if you are having troubles with your bread...mix the ingredients together in a bowl first and then add it to your machine and see if this helps.

Also, make sure you cook on the non gluten free setting - the best one possible for the size of your loaf. We use a basic bread setting on ours as the gluten free setting really doesn't work....we have a swan breadmaker.

Hope this is helpful :)
